Mindoula Health is seeking Behavioral Health Care Manager's to work with us full-time & remotely from anywhere within the United States. Mindoula’s teams of Care Managers, supported by technology including a mobile engagement app, proprietary psychometrics, and predictive analytics, are the key to its success!

How you’ll contribute:

  • Efficiently accept patient handoffs from an Intake Care Manager and seamlessly continue care.
  • Develop rapport with patients to create a safe therapeutic environment and assist them in developing insight into themselves, their patterns, and their relationships.
  • Encourage patients to express feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, assisting them in developing insight into themselves and their relationships.
  • Guide patients in developing skills and/or strategies for managing problems and triggers to increase relapse prevention and reduce risk.
  • Encourage patients to develop work skills and to participate in social, recreational, or other therapeutic activities that enhance interpersonal skills and develop social relationships through brief therapeutic interventions including but not limited to motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and problem-solving therapy.
  • Educate patients on medication, and the importance of medication adherence, and monitor patients' medication and medication-related problems. Reporting all findings to PCP and Psychiatric Consultants.
  • Responsible for communicating treatment recommendations, ensuring recommendations are being addressed by PCP, and communicating updates reported by PCP and/or patient to a psychiatrist.
  • Match daily calendar to documentation in Mindoula's electronic medical record - MMR.
  • Reflect all billable activity in case of notes on MMR entered within 24 hours after billable activity.
  • Present follow-ups to the psychiatrist with necessary information during case presentation.
  • Counsel patients about their mental or physical illness, abuse, medication, and available community and social resources.
  • Assess patients for risk, make quick evaluations for risk, develop safety plans and respond within the parameters outlined within their safety plan, formulating and performing crisis interventions ensuring the safety of patients as necessary. 

  • Monitor, evaluate, and record the patient’s progress using validated assessments each month that the patient is in the program.
  • Prepare and maintain all required records, reports, paperwork, and patients’ diagnostic records, maintaining the confidentiality of patients at all times. 

  • Use clear and accurate verbal and written communication skills to facilitate communication with patients, patient's family/caregivers, staff, and the treatment team
  • Produce high-quality documentation that enables the patients to receive the best treatment possible. 

  • Competently relate to patients, their families, and agencies involved with patients through above-average interpersonal skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Master's Degree Required in psychology, social work, or another behavioral health disciplines from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Google Suite (calendar, docs, sheets, slides, etc.)
  • Strong data entry experience
  • Work experience with Electronic Medical Records
