Mindoula is looking for a Lead Data Analytics Manager who loves digging into healthcare claims and operational data to uncover meaningful insights. You'll guide a team of analysts in creating clear visualizations and analysis that help us better serve our members and clients. In this role, you'll set the direction for key analytical projects while mentoring team members and working closely with leadership to turn findings into practical improvements. Since we work with multiple external partners, you'll need strong project management skills and the ability to consistently deliver quality insights on time. This is a chance to continue towards building a data-driven culture at Mindoula and develop analytical approaches that make a real difference in healthcare delivery.

What you'll do...

  • Guide your team in developing impactful data visualizations and reports, while establishing standards for how we present findings to leadership and stakeholders. You'll also be hands-on in creating complex analyses and dashboards for our highest-priority initiatives.
  • Lead the expansion of our business intelligence capabilities, both by writing key SQL scripts yourself and by teaching others how to become self-sufficient with our tools.
  • Direct the development of our core SQL queries and data pipelines, combining hands-on development with ensuring your team follows best practices for data accuracy and scalable solutions.
  • Shape the direction of our exploratory analyses, diving deep into the data yourself while helping your team identify which business and clinical questions matter most.
  • Set quality standards for data validation across projects, actively participate in complex validations, and mentor team members in developing robust validation processes.
  • Build strong partnerships with department leaders to understand their needs, while helping your team learn how to translate business requirements into effective analyses.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation standards, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and establishing processes that help your team work more effectively together.

What you'll need...

  • Bachelor's in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in data analytics, with 3+ years leading analytics teams or major initiatives, preferably in healthcare.
  • Deep expertise in SQL and experience implementing business intelligence solutions across an organization, with strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or SuperSet, with experience training others and establishing visualization standards.
  • Strong programming skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis, with the ability to review and improve team members' code.
  • Track record of leading complex analytical projects and coaching teams to deliver meaningful insights that drive business decisions.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining data validation frameworks and teaching best practices to ensure data quality across a team.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with demonstrated success presenting to executive stakeholders and building relationships across departments.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, delegate effectively, and guide team members while maintaining high standards for deliverables.
